The Hayate 74 MH AGS represents the next generation of the “Ultimate Shore Versatile Rod”, following in the footsteps of the legendary 04 Shiro Hayate and 07 Shiro Hayate—crafted through the collaboration of Haruhiko Murakami, Heartland, and DAIWA’s cutting-edge technology.

As its name suggests, the blank is made using Heartland’s flagship-exclusive construction method—a unique process combining SVF Compile-X carbon wrapped into a slim yet thick-walled Tubular Power Slim structure. For the first time in Heartland’s history, SVF Compile-X is reinforced with X45 (for torsion resistance) and 3DX (for recovery speed), resulting in a blank completely free from flex waste or power loss.

The AGS guide system—featuring lightweight, rigid, and trouble-free R-type frames paired with thin, light C-rings and N-rings—further enhances the blank’s pure performance.

With an additional 2 inches of length compared to the Hayate 72, its long-range casting ability surpasses even that acclaimed model. The combination of SVF Compile-X and Tubular Power Slim construction delivers the distinctive “stiff yet bendable” character, while the smooth Murakami taper creates a seamless bending curve from tip to butt.
